Why I Became a Real Estate Salesperson

Before real estate, I spent more than 10 years as an entrepreneur, owning and operating an Indian restaurant business. Running that business for over a decade meant learning how to work directly with people every single day — understanding what they needed, solving problems on the spot, and building trust one interaction at a time. That customer-first mindset is the foundation of how I work in real estate. Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest decisions a family makes, and I wanted to bring that same hands-on, honest approach to helping people through it.

My Entrepreneurial Journey

Owning and operating a restaurant for more than 10 years taught me lessons that apply directly to real estate: how to negotiate with suppliers and partners, how to manage tight timelines, how to stay calm under pressure, and how to keep a customer's experience at the center of every decision. That background also shaped my comfort with using technology and data to run a business efficiently — skills I now apply to AI-powered marketing and data-driven pricing for my real estate clients.
